CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
POLE DANCE CLASSES
in recommended order
poleSTART: Are you new to pole? This is a great class to start with. This class will teach you the basics of poleDANCE on a static (non-spin) and spin pole. This class was made for you to learn how to move around the pole comfortable and basic terms we use while instructing. Some fundamental moves include the chair, model sit, attitude, and more. Once you've learned all the moves in poleSTART, you can enroll in poleDANCE beginner to learn more techniques.
Dress Code: Shorts, sports bra, shirt are recommended.
poleDANCE Stage 1: Once you've completed poleSTART, this is the next class you should take. This class teaches you pole dance beginner tricks and techniques. You can take this class along with poleDANCE Stage 2.
Dress Code: Shorts, sports bra, shirt are recommended.
poleDANCE Stage 2: This class is where you learn transitions and combinations. You'll see your Stage 1 tricks come together in this class. You can take this class along with poleDANCE Stage 1.
Dress Code: Shorts, sports bra, shirt are recommended.
poleDANCE Intermediate: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU FINISH OUR BEGINNER'S PROGRAM (poleDANCE Stage 1 and Stage 2). IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE INTERMEDIATE, PLEASE CALL/TEXT THE OFFICE AT 210-454-8558 FOR MORE INFO.
At this level, you will be discovering more difficult, but beautiful tricks and combinations. We recommend that you already be familiar with all moves and combos in poleDANCE Stage 1 and poleDANCE Stage 2 before proceeding to poleDANCE Intermediate.
Dress Code: Shorts and sports bra recommended.
STRENGTHENING & CONDITIONING CLASSES
polePOWER: BREAK A SWEAT! This is a pole fitness class created to help you work on your upper body, core strength, and flexibility. We've incorporated pole dance moves with exercise to help you workout and isolate the common muscles you use in pole dancing. No experience necessary. No matter where you are in your pole dance training, this class is essential to your success as a pole dancer.
Dress Code: Shorts, sports bra, shirt are recommended.
poleSTRETCH: This class focuses on techniques that help you with your flexibility. This class was created to specifically target stretching techniques to improve side splits, middle splits, and back flexibility.
Dress Code: Light long-sleeved shirt, sports bra, and leggings are recommended. We provide yoga mats, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
aerialFIT: This class uses a hammock to work on strength and flexibility. Stretching using this technique may be beneficial for students who spend a long time sitting. This class teaches a few aerial sequences.
It is NOT recommended for pregnant women or those who suffer from motion sickness.
Dress Code: Light long-sleeved shirt, sports bra, and leggings are recommended. No shorts. We provide yoga mats, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
DANCE CLASSES
floorDANCE: This class is choreography intensive. Love to dance? Learn some moves in floorDANCE.
Dress Code: KNEE PADS required, leggings, heels optional
choreoPOLE: This class incorporates different dance styles like hip-hop, Latin, contemporary/lyrical, and more. Follow us on Instagram @northpoleDS as we announce the week's dance style: poleHIPHOP. LATINpole, Lyrical, and more.
Dress Code: leggings (but bring shorts, just in case), knee pads recommended
TWERK Booty Workout: Have you ever wanted to learn how to twerk? Stop wondering. This class will put your booty to work! Twerk isn't just a dance move, it's a workout! Learn how to isolate and control the largest muscle in your body.
Dress Code: Shorts, sports bra, shirt, knee pads are recommended.

Private instruction is offered for poleDANCE. This is a one-on-one session with an instructor. If you wish to deepen your technique, want a more individualized lesson, or your schedule prevents you from attending one of our group classes, then this may be a good option for you.
